Brett Gould – Addicted (Original Mix)
Brett Gould – My House (Original Mix)
Brett follows up the tech-house chart topping “Rhythm Drop” with 2 more bangers. Support from: Skream, B Traits, Kolombo, Celsius, Brodanse, Waifs & Strays, German Brigante, Kry Wolf, Vanilla Ace, Bodden, Amine Edge & DANCE, David Keno, Eluize/Alley Oop, Terry Farley, Claus Casper, Russ Chimes, Robert Owens, Moodymanc, Solaris Heights, Clause Monnet, Sam Bailey (BBC Radio 1), Groove Assassin, Anna Cavazos, Alex Over (Let The MAchines DO The Work), Andrew Salsano, John Jones (Ministry of Sound), Jack Swift, Rattus Rattus, Severino, Kal (The Underground), Ally McCrae (BBC Radio Scotland), Graham Sahara (Pacha, Ibiza), Graeme Park… Brett Gould’s last single, “Rhythm Drop” was his biggest track to date. Its combination of bouncy UK garage bass and clever samples gained it across the board DJ support from the likes of Josh Butler, Doctor Dru, Martin Ikin, Laurent Garnier, Kolumbo, Sasha, Waifs & Strays, Supernova, MANIK and Maxxi Soundsystem as well as Radio support from on Radio 1 and 1Xtra from Monki and Rob da Bank. This release sees Brett taking on more influences from 90s UK rave culture and working them into his tough house sound. “Addicted” delivers a monster Rip Groove style baseline, killer looping vocals and a serious breakbeat breakdown – imagine a Wildchild track remixed by Gorgon City and you’re on the way to imagining the floor-busting antics of this cut. “My House” is a deeper affair, still flexing some baseline muscle but less jump-up than “Addicted” and with a smoother, tripper ride. If you like Martin Ikin’s mix of Disclosure, this is well worth checking out.
